London is a city in the south of England. People first lived in London about 800 years ago.
Its name was Londinium and in Romans times only 45,000 people lived there. The population
is about 7.5 million now.
There are places in London with the names of important people in history: Trafalgar Square commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar and Victoria street commemorates Queen Victoria.
The people of London are called "Londoners" or "Cockneys". Famous Londoners include Charlie Chaplin and Arthur Conan Doyle. Charlie Chaplin was an actor and Arthur Conan Doyle was the writer of Sherlock Holmes stories.
Last weekend I went to London with my parents and my brother. I stayed at a hotel. I saw the British museum, the Big Ben, the Bukingham palace, the Thames, the London eye, Oxford Street, Picadilly Street and I went to an amusemment park.
I had a typical English breakfast ( eggs, bacon and sausages), for lunch I tasted the traditional Fish & Chips, sandwiches and I had hamburgers and pizza for dinner.
I arrived home on Monday evening.
I really liked Picadilly Street because it is very colourful and there are a lot of people on it.
I also liked the British Museum because it was really interesting.
Hi! My name's Miguel. I´m twelve years old. I´m from Murcia in Spain. I speak three languages: German, English and Spanish.
In my house we speak Spanish and English because my father just speaks these languages.
I go to a bilingual school.
In my class there are twenty-nine students from three different countries. There are Spanish, Colombian and Chinese people.
At school we have English four times a week. French and German are also subjects here. People in this class speak Spanish, German and French.
My level of English is quite good but I want to improve my listening and speaking. I think It's a good idea to memorize examples and to watch DVD's in English.
Alfredo Di Stéfano was born in Argentina on 4th July in

He was a famous football player and a coach. He played in Real Madrid, in which
he won five European Cups. He also played in River Plate and R.C.D. Espanyol.
He trained some of the most important Spanish football teams, like Real Madrid,

the honor chair of the Real Madrid and he was the best player in the history of
Real Madrid and even in the world.
Madrid is a big city and is the capital city of Spain. Madrid is in the centre of the country. It's got a population of 6543031. There is a lot of tourism there. I like it because it's a great place for shopping and there are a lot of facilities such as luxury shops and spectacular buildings.
My favourite places are La Puerta del Sol and El Retiro park.
Madrid is about five hours from Murcia on the coach. There are loads of coaches from the station.
They are cheaper than the train. A return ticket is 35 euro.
Murcia is quieter than Madrid and the weather is better in Murcia too but I prefer Madrid because it's really exciting and enormous.
Madrid has got a famous football team, the Real Madrid. I'm one of their fans!
To sum up, I want to say that Madrid is an incredible city!
Murcia is a quiet city in the south east of Spain.
It' s very pretty and friendly. It has got a lot of people and there are loads of shops and shopping centres.
The weather is very hot during the summer and warm in the winter. The air is clean and the streets are quite safe. My favourite place is Santo Domingo square because is really big and it has got a lot of restaurants. To sum up, Murcia is a fantastic place, especially if you like going to museums or visiting its incredible rural areas.
